WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha residents shared mouth-watering burger restaurants ahead of National Burger Day on Saturday. One restaurant had an overwhelming number of votes and someone shared their personal recipe.
Patch reached out on Facebook asking, "National Burger Day is May 28 and we want to know: Who makes the BEST burger in town?"
Mainstream Bar and Grill, 404 W. Main Street, got 15 votes out of 28 comments as of Thursday morning. Want to submit your vote? Here's a link to the call out.

Other suggestions included Sobelman's of Waukesha, Kopp's Frozen Custard, Mustang Shelly's Roadhouse in New Berlin and Milk Can Hamburgers and Frozen Custard in Muskego.
Mike Nienhius posted his own burger recipe: "Ground beef, some Worcestershire sauce, some soy sauce, dried diced onion, dried diced garlic, Lawry's salt, Lawry's pepper, pepper jack cheese, on a toasted onion bun."
