“Testing is an important reactive response in the fight against the virus. Getting vaccinated is the best proactive response,” said Benjamen Jones, Waukesha County Health Officer said in a statement. “This holiday season, children and adolescents age 5 and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Tens of thousands of children and teens have been hospitalized across the country with COVID-19. While children and adolescents are typically at lower risk than adults of becoming severely ill or hospitalized from COVID-19, it is still possible,” Jones said.
