Nothing Suspicious Found After Bomb Threat At UW-Waukesha
Authorities said they got a call Thursday afternoon saying there was a suspicious package in a Waukesha university classroom.
WAUKESHA, WI —After authorites received a call Thursday afternoon reporting a suspicious package believed to be a bomb in a Waukesha university classroom, students and staff were evacuated but nothing suspicious was found, according to police.
Police and firefighters from Waukesha were sent out around 3:30 p.m. to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Waukesha, located at 1500 North University Drive. University staff told police there were students in some of the classrooms.
Everyone was safely evacuated from the building and nobody was injured. School administration worked with police to do a complete sweep of the building, and found nothing suspicious, police said. Students and staff were later allowed back inside the building to retrieve belongings.

Police said students were later released to their parents.
Several other bomb threats also came into other universities across Wisconsin Thursday night, according to reports. While it was not clear if the incidents are connected, there were also threats reported at Chippewa Valley Technical College near Eau Claire, the Wisconsin Technical College in Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Thursday night.
