Police Seek Waukesha Christmas Parade Crash Videos

The Waukesha Police Department seeks videos that capture an SUV driving through crowds and fleeing.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police asked the public to submit any original video footage showing an SUV crashing into Sunday's Christmas parade.

Five people were killed Sunday when the SUV crashed through barricades and entered the Waukesha Christmas parade route. On Tuesday, a sixth person died from injuries he sustained at the parade. More than 60 people were injured.

"We know many of you are healing both physically and/or emotionally from the tragedy at the Christmas parade," the Waukesha Police Department said on Facebook.

Police asked for any original video footage of the suspect SUV driving on the parade route or fleeing from the scene. To submit video, click on this link. Police will contact people once they receive a submission.

Police sought video shot directly by you – not video sent to you or that you saw on someone’s social media page.

"We are only looking for original footage taken of the incident. We don't want compilations of videos that were posted on the web," police said.

If you know someone who may have video, police asked you to reach out to them and encourage them to submit the information.

Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, was charged Tuesday with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide in Sunday's incident. Prosecutors said they intended to file a sixth intentional homicide charge after the death of a sixth victim. Brooks' bail was set at $5 million cash.
