"She was a great mother," Juarez said. "Her daughter was everything to her."
Juarez said her friend "was an amazing person. She was so bubbly, she had an amazing personality. She was the life of the party."
Juarez and Negron had children at the same time. Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack said police know where Negron's daughter is but they are not releasing those details. The young girl was not present at the time of the shooting, according to police.
"She was a great mother," Juarez said. "Her daughter was everything to her."
Juarez stood on Summit Avenue, quietly checking her Facebook account waiting for more information. Soon, people were writing messages of shock on Negron's Facebook page.
"I had a feeling it was her," Juarez said. "I just didn't want to believe it."
Angel Amber Aguilar wrote on Waukesha Patch that Negron worked hard to raise her daughter.
“She was amazing,” Aguilar said. “She lived for her daughter. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her princess. Her world lived around her daughter. … She was like nobody else, had a huge smile from ear to ear. She meant a lot to many of us on different levels.”
Negron worked for Chartwells, Carroll University’s food service company. The food services director declined to comment about Negron Tuesday morning.
“I worked with her at Carroll and she was ALWAYS so sweet, positive, and kind,” Yolanda Medina wrote on Waukesha Patch. “I loved talking to her. My heart is just breaking for her family. We are going to miss her greatly.”
Tommy Groth shared that Nani worked with his sister.
"She came into our home and lit up the whole environment," Groth said on Waukesha Patch's Facebook page. "She was dedicated first to her child and then friends, and herself last. I grew to love her smile and laughter. I grieve for her family and friends. I will miss her tremendously and had the privilege to call her my friend."
