Sally's Sweet Shoppe To Close Delafield Location

The owner of Sally's Sweet Shoppe also plans to expand the Genesee Depot store.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI—A Waukesha County bakery shop announced it is closing one of its locations.

Sally's Sweet Shoppe said, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Delafield location at 810 Genesee Street will close in early 2022 and there are plans to expand the Genesee Depot location at S42 W31370 Hwy 83, Suite 3.

Shop owner Tracey Catarozoli said in the post the decision was based on expanding the Genesee Depot location and needing more work-life balance in her life.

"This summer, my mom became gravely ill, and I found myself in a horrible situation where I had to consider the operations of our two bakery locations vs my need to be with my mom. My Mamma is recovering, but my heart was broken," the post said.

Catarozoli also cited the desire to travel with her husband and work-life balance of her bakers. In the Facebook post, she said the Delafield building that houses the bakery will be listed for sale.

The Delafield store will be open through 2021 and early 2022 will be used to expand the other location. The post said hours in Genesee Depot will be expanding with later hours.

"The Sally’s Sweet Shoppe staff is jazzed about our new operational ideas and excited to bring this to life in 2022," the post said.
