Town Traditions: Wisconsin's Oldest County Fair Is In Waukesha
The Waukesha County Fair, set to begin on July 19, is touted as the oldest of its kind in the state.

WAUKESHA, WI — It may be hard to believe after another long, cold Wisconsin winter, but summer has landed, and it packed along plenty of warm weather and fun traditions.
One tradition known well by Waukesha residents is the oldest running county fair in the state, the Waukesha County Fair. This year's events run from July 19-23 at the Waukesha County Exposition Center, 1000 Northview Road.
Among the events planned for the 2023 fair, attendees will find a classic car show, a beauty pageant, a variety of food vendors, a demolition derby, music, and the famed livestock auction. Attendees can also take part in a host of competitions, like the centennial quilt contest or a truck and tractor pull.
