Trump To Visit Waukesha Before Primary To Support Michels: Reports
Ahead of the Republican gubernatorial primary vote on Aug. 9, former president Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Waukesha, reports said.

WAUKESHA, WI — Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the Waukesha County Fairgrounds for a rally just days before the Aug. 9 Republican gubernatorial primary election, according to reports.
Trump has previously endorsed construction executive Tim Michels for Wisconsin governor, and will speak in support of Michels "and the entire Wisconsin Trump Ticket" during the rally, reads a news release distributed to media.
The former president is scheduled to speak at the fairgrounds at 7 p.m. on Aug. 5, FOX6 News reported. The primary election on Aug. 9 will decide which Republican candidate for governor moves ahead to face off against incumbent Tony Evers, a Democrat, in the fall.

The top three Republican candidates aside from Fischer came together for a debate on Sunday in Milwaukee. Key issues visited during that debate included abortion, education, and the 2020 election.
At the debate, Michels said overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election, in which Biden won Wisconsin, is not a priority. Kleefisch claimed that the election was rigged, without evidence, but also did not say overturning the results would be a priority. Ramthun remained steadfast in his desire to overturn the results of the election.
