Registration open for UWM at Waukesha GEMS (Girls' Engineering, Math, and Science) Conference! Scholarships available for free admission!

(UWM at Waukesha Continuing Education)

UWM at Waukesha is excited to invite middle school girls, ages 11-14, for a day of fun, hands-on STEM activities for our annual GEMS (Girls Engineering, Math, and Science) Conference. This year, the conference will be held Saturday, May 7th from 8:30am-3:30pm. All middle school girls are encouraged to attend. Scholarships are available to the first 20 students to let us know that they’ve seen this in the Waukesha Patch! Please email continuing-ed@uwm.edu to get your free conference pass or phone Continuing Education at 262-521-5460. For full information, please visit https://ce.uwc.edu/waukesha/catalog/gems.

Each year, UWM at Waukesha strives to encourage young children to pursue their interests in STEM fields by presenting them with the opportunity to speak with and learn from those who have attained success in their field. Students will have the opportunity to make connections with new people and like-minded individuals that will encourage friendships and personal connections. This program is primarily funded by sponsors. All workshops are held by professional specialists who are volunteering their services for the day to specifically engage with this age range in the STEM fields. While this program targets female students, registration is available to all qualifying students regardless of their sex or gender identity.
