Waukesha West Evacuated Due To Online Threat: School
Waukesha West High School was being evacuated Friday due to an online threat, according to the Waukesha School District.
WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha West High School students were being evacuated Friday following an online threat, according to the Waukesha School District.
Waukesha West Principal Ryan Patt received an email Friday morning about a specific threat to students during lunch, the district said in an email.
"Through immediate consultation with the Waukesha Police Department, Waukesha West was put in a HOLD designation where staff and students remain in the classroom to conduct business as usual but do not leave the classroom for any reason," the email said.

A staggered evacuation of all students from Waukesha West High School was being done for the remainder of Friday.
The district said:

- Students who drive will be released first and will be allowed to get their keys from their lockers and drive home.
- Students who are bus riders will take their bus home per usual as the buses arrive at Waukesha West.
- Parents looking to pick up their students are asked to report to St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 2400 WI-59.
There is a police presence as well at St. John Neumann.
Once the student drivers and buses have departed, parents will then be allowed to drive from St. John Neumann to Waukesha West to pick up their student. the district said.
School is to be session as normal on Monday.
