Woman, 87, Carjacked, Sexually Assaulted By Teen: Police
The incident was reported on Nov. 30 at the Waukesha Public Library, police said.
WAUKESHA, WI — A 14-year-old is accused of carjacking and sexually assaulting a 87-year-old woman in Waukesha, according to police.
The teen is in currently in a detention facility.
The case has been referred to the District Attorney’s Office. There is a referral for the case to be waived to adult court, Waukesha Police Captain Dan Baumann said.

The woman met with Waukesha police on Nov. 30 at the Waukesha Public Library after reporting she was robbed and her car was taken, Baumann said.
Police found the car and a person who matched the suspect’s description ran from officers, Baumann said.

Les Paul Middle School was temporarily put on lockdown as police chased the suspect.
Officers were able to take him into custody, Baumann said.
The woman later told police the 14-year-old used a knife to force her inside her car where was sexually assaulted, Baumann said.
“This incident is sad and incomprehensible, but we are bound by the constitutional protections of crime victims. We are also mindful of the statutory protections of juvenile offenders. The threat was mitigated, and the juvenile has been in a detention facility since the arrest,” Baumann said.
The School District of Waukesha said in a statement staff learned that "the suspect in the carjacking incident was a Waukesha high school student who has since withdrawn from the district."
