Woman Charged After Fatal Crash In Genesee: Report
A woman is facing a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of vehicle after police said a pickup truck crashed into van, leaving one dead.

GENESEE, WI — A Mukwonago woman was charged in connection with the fatal July 17 crash that left a man dead in Genesee, FOX6 News first reported.
Danielle L. Krueger, 35, faces one charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and two charges of causing injury while operating under the influence, online court records showed. The day of the crash, a pickup truck crossed the centerline on Highway 59 near Rockwood Trail and hit a van, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said it happened around 1:30 p.m. The driver of the van, an 84-year-old man, died after the crash, the sheriff's office said.

Investigators said they found an almost-empty bottle of hard liquor on the rear floorboard of the defendant's vehicle and a cooler with empty beer and seltzer cans in the truck after the crash, according to the report FOX6 report, citing a criminal complaint.

When a deputy visited Krueger at the hospital, they noted her speech was slow and slurred, the complaint said according to FOX6.
Krueger appeared in court on Thursday where her cash bond was set at $125,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 3, online court records showed.
