11 Candidates Apply For 5th District Vacancy In Wauwatwosa
Former Wauwatosa Alderperson Heather Kuhl who represented District 5, resigned on October 14.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The City of Wauwatosa has 11 applicants for an open vacancy in the 5th District. Former Wauwatosa Alderperson Heather Kuhl, who represented District 5, resigned in October, creating the vacancy.
Given the number of applicants, the city will be conducting interviews over two nights. The meetings will be held virtually over Zoom, according to a Wauwatosa announcement.
Each candidate will be given a 30 minute window. Six candidates will be interviewed from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday.

The remaining five candidates will be interviewed at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Immediately following the last interview, the Aldermanic Selection Committee will vote who to recommend to the Common Council. The first candidate to have 3 total votes (a majority of the 5 members of the committee) will be recommended. Read more about the selection process and confirmation.
