Thanks to smart phones and the cultural phenomenon of YouTube, everyone is a video director and producer. And with a little digging, you can craft an entertaining look at your community as residents and visitors see it.

A different kind of “evangelism” comes from Matt Busche, a Wauwatosa native and cyclist who was the 2011 USA Pro Cycling Road Race Champion. In this video he simply talks about why he loves Grape Nuts. It’s a sponsorship testimonial, no doubt, but he’s a hometown boy made good.

The train tracks that slice through Tosa impact life in many ways. If you are a train fanatic or know one, you know that they can’t get enough of watching them run.  User HighIronofWisconsin filmed a series of runs through the city on May 16. More unusual was this sharp nighttime video from dhearn9700 which shows rail grinding, sparks and all.

Wauwatosa is proud of its high schools and there is plenty from both. Though the fate of the Tosa East Battle Bot in this video is somewhat unfortunate. Also from Wauwatosa East is video of the Launchpad Competition for bands, with 2nd Time Around performing.

From Tosa West comes the final news broadcast of the year; a dramatization of healthy and unhealthy relationships; and some JV girls soccer highlights from user soccergab14. You can also catch some high school rugby, Milwaukee United vs. Wauwatosa.
