Lockdown Drill Held At Longfellow Middle School

WAUWATOSA,WI — Wauwatosa Police Department said a lockdown drill was held Tuesday morning at Longfellow Middle School, 7600 W. North Ave. This was at the request of the Wauwatosa School District.

"The drill was a scheduled event and was not in reaction to a certain incident," a police news release said.

These types of drills allow schools to practice security drill procedures which restrict students to
classrooms. Wauwatosa School District Administrators and Wauwatosa Police Department School Resource Officers assisted with the drill. Anyone with questions should contact the Wauwatosa Police Department.
