2 Car Theft Incidents Reported Within Minutes In Whitefish Bay

Police say the vehicle that was stolen was unlocked and running in the driveway with the keys inside to warm up.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI β€” Police in Whitefish Bay say that between 7:15 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. on Friday, suspects managed to steal one car, and also tried stealing a second one after targeting running and potentially unlocked vehicles.

Police say the vehicle that was stolen was unlocked and running in the driveway with the keys inside to warm up.

"Lock your homes and vehicles," Whitefish Bay Police said in a news release early Friday. "These small steps can dramatically reduce the chances you will be a victim of crime. It only takes a few seconds for a criminal to get into your vehicle and drive away."
