Black Friday Shoppers Remove Parking Signs By Bayshore

Black Friday must have gotten a little crowded at Bayshore Town Center.

Whitefish Bay police received reports of shoppers removing 'no parking' signs in the 5700 block of Lydell Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Police did not see who removed the signs, but they did have to place some of them back in the ground. Eight vehicles were illegally parked on the block.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

• A 56-year-old Whitefish Bay man was allegedly drunk and swerving on the roadway when he was pulled over by police at 3:32 p.m. on Nov. 22 in the 200 block of E. Hampton Road. He refused an intoximeter test and was cited for operating while intoxicated and operating left of center.

• A resident called police at 11:24 a.m. Nov. 23 to report a suspicious man was cutting through yards in the area of Henry Clay Street and Shoreland Avenue. Whitefish Bay police took the man into custody in the 4900 block of Santa Monica Blvd. and turned him over to the Glendale Police Department for a complaint of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.

• A juvenile bicyclist was not injured after colliding with a vehicle on Ardmore Avenue at 5:41 p.m. Saturday. The bicyclist was westbound on the sidewalk, shot across Ardmore, struck the vehicle and left the scene westbound on Courtland. The vehicle owner reported no damage to her vehicle, and said the juvenile told her he was OK before riding off.
