Blue Dukes Easily Topple Grafton With 43-7 Win

Whitefish Bay now needs to beat either Homestead or Nicolet to advance to the playoffs.

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes easily handled the winless Grafton Black Hawks last night in a 43-7 win, putting the Dukes just one win away from a playoff berth.

The win lifts the Blue Dukes to a 3-2 conference standing, and a 4-3 record overall. The Blue Dukes will have to beat either Homestead next week or Nicolet the week after to advance to the playoffs.

The Blue Dukes led off the scoring early in the first quarter with a two-yard touchdown run by Deyontaye Brown. Rashadeem Gray, who has 901 rushing yards this season, scored the rest of the five Blue Dukes touchdowns: one on a five-yard pass from quarterback Grant Menard and the next on a 56-yard pass from Menard, all in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Gray scored on a 45-yard run, a 21-yard run and a 9-yard run.

Grafton scored its only touchdown of the game, a 52-yard pass from Matt Weisflog to Alex Teich, in the third quarter.
