Burglary Call Led To Chase, Crash On Port Washington: Glendale Police
Police responded to a call about a burglary on the 5600 block of Bayshore Drive early Thursday morning, leading to a crash, police say.
GLENDALE, WI — Police were called out to a possible burglary at a business on the 5600 block of Bayshore Drive Thursday morning, leading to a pursuit, crash and multiple arrests, according to a news release by the Glendale Police Department.
Before officers got to the scene the suspects drove away in a white van, but they were spotted by a Whitefish Bay Police officer who tried to pull them over, the news release says. The suspect vehicle fled and a Glendale police officer took over a pursuit.
The officer attempted to stop the van with a PIT maneuver near Port Washington Road and Olive Street, the news release says, and the suspect vehicle lost control and rolled onto its side. One person who ran away from the van was arrested and two other suspects were taken into custody from the vehicle.
