Car Crash During Pursuit Sunday, 3 Juveniles Arrested: WFB Police

Three juveniles were arrested in Milwaukee after a stolen car they were in crashed into a utility box on Lydell Avenue, police said.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — A car crashed into a utility box near Silver Spring and Lydell early Sunday morning after Whitefish Bay police had tried to pull it over on Lake Drive, police said.

An officer attempted to stop the black Ford Taurus on 5400 Lake Drive when the vehicle fled west on Silver Spring Drive. The pursuit was ended near Silver Spring Drive and Hollywood Avenue, police said.

After police terminated the pursuit, the car continued to drive recklessly and crashed into a concrete utility box on Lydell Avenue, police said in a post to Facebook.

Although the car sustained severe damage in the crash, it continued west on Silver Spring, where Glendale police re-engaged the pursuit. The vehicle became disabled on 5600 87th Street in Milwaukee, and the three juveniles who ran from the vehicle were arrested, police said.
