Car Stolen On Blackthorne + Arrest After Police Chase: Police Logs

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police arrested a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman on May 26 after chasing a vehicle seen speeding on Lake Drive, according to the latest logs from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

A caller reported the vehicle, a silver Hyundai, to police when they saw it going to wrong way on Santa Monica Boulevard and Day Avenue, logs said. An officer spotted the car lose control near Cumberland Avenue and Lake Drive before it drove over 60 mph down Lake, logs said.

Police started a pursuit of the vehicle and stopped the car near Lake Drive and Kenwood Boulevard. The driver yelled something about a shooting and fled, but officers did not start another pursuit, logs said.

Police later arrested the registered owner of the car for resisting and fleeing, logs said.

  • A vehicle's window shattered when it was parked in a driveway in the 700 block of Lexington Boulevard on May 25 and police could not find any object that could have caused the window to break, logs said.
  • Police arrested a man for third offense OWI, possession of cocaine and felony bail jumping near Bartlett Avenue and Lake Drive on May 29 around 4 p.m. after someone reported the man's car for driving slowly and nearly striking a median on Lake Drive, according to police logs.
