Eight Athletes Honored with Duke Pride Awards

One athlete from each winter sport team will be honored with a certificate, a medal and their name on the plaque in the Fieldhouse lobby.

Each sports team has a standout athlete that exemplifies outstanding dedication and teamwork, and in Whitefish Bay, those athletes are recognized by the Duke Pride Award.

The mission of Duke Pride is to support the Whitefish Bay High School Athletic Department and student athletes in the areas of financial contributions and student and community spirit. The Duke Pride Award is given to an athlete at the Varsity level who has been nominated by his/her Varsity teammates, and approved by the Head Coach and Activities Director.  The purpose of the award is to recognize athletes for exhibiting qualities of outstanding dedication to their sport, being true team players and living by the principles of the athletic code of conduct and general school rules.

The selected athlete receives a certificate and a medal.  His or her name will also be inscribed on the Duke Pride "Hall of Fame" plaque located in the Fieldhouse lobby.
