“This work is viewed by very sick children and their families during their stay at Children's,” said high school Art Department Chair Melissa Cook. “We have received so many compliments about the work over the years by the families of children, the children, who were undergoing treatment, and staff, saying it really brightened many children's lives while they were being treated.”

The Student Self-Expression Show will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Great Frame Up, 507 E. Silver Spring Dr. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition to the student artwork, the event will also feature live music and refreshments.
