Inclusion Group Hosts Documentary Screening Tonight

Citizens for Inclusive Thinking screens "Including Samuel," an award-winning documentary, at the JCC at 6:15 p.m.

A new group focused on inclusion will host a screening of Dan Habib’s award winning film, “Including Samuel” at 6:15 p.m. tonight in the Daniel M. Soref Community Hall at the Jewish Community Center, 6225 N. Santa Monica Blvd.

Citizens for Inclusive Thinking (C-fIT) is hosting the screening of the film,which focuses on the journey of the Habib family as they work to include their son, Samuel, who has cerebral palsy, into every facet of their life.

The movie will be followed by a community conversation about promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities as an important community value. C-fIT is an organization that believes in, promotes and creates inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities in all aspects of community: school, recreation, work, religion, and commerce.

The group's “Are you IN?” campaign will shine a spotlight on successful inclusion efforts within the community, and will engage the community in searching for more opportunities to fully include people with disabilities.
