JCC to Hold Annual Meeting Tonight

The (the J) will hold its annual meeting and awards ceremony Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the Daniel M. Soref Community Hall of the J. 

Executive Director Mark F. Shapiro announced “Partnering with Our Community” as the theme for this year’s annual meeting. 

“As a community-based organization we recognize the importance of partnering with other outstanding organizations and corporations throughout the greater Milwaukee area.” Shapiro added, “This year we have the opportunity to not only recognize our partnerships, we will present the J’s first-ever Yachad Award (Partner of the Year) to a truly exceptional partner, the Bayshore Town Center Community Foundation.”  

Chaired by Neena Florsheim and Rick Florsheim the evening will include the election of the 2011-2012 board of directors and officers and the presentation of the following awards: Yachad Award, Outstanding Partner of the Year, The Joe E. Smith Distinguished Volunteer Award, Outstanding Jewish Athlete/Scholar Award, the Roman Shklyar JCC Tennis Scholarship and the staff Anniversary Recognition Awards.
