Man Threw Gun Out Of Stolen Vehicle As Police Pursued: Report

Police said a 55-year-old Milwaukee man was behind the wheel of that stolen vehicle - a green Toyota Camry.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI β€” Police in Whitefish Bay say a Milwaukee man was arrested after he was caught with a stolen car, had a gun he wasn't allowed to have - all after a police chase.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, an officer on patrol on the 5100 block of N. Lake Drive at just after 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 26, found a vehicle that was reported stolen on the road.

Police said a 55-year-old Milwaukee man was behind the wheel of that stolen vehicle - a green Toyota Camry.

Police said the driver did not stop when police attempted to pull him over. Police deployed stop sticks to disable the vehicle's tires. Police said the driver threw a gun out of the vehicle and the vehicle eventually stopped in the 5600 block of N. Lake Drive.

Police said the driver was arrested on suspicion for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC and possession of a firearm as a felon. A pitbull terrier dog was in the vehicle and was removed by MADACC, police said.
