Most Road Work to be Finished in Two Weeks
Lane changes coming to Lake Drive Tuesday, as crews begin paving the roadway.
It's been a long summer of zigging and zagging through narrow lanes on Lake Drive, but the orange barrels are expected to disappear in about two weeks.
Crews have spent ο»Ώο»Ώ digging up the roadway from Woodburn Street to Bartlett Avenue and installing a new water main and new service laterals. The water main portion of the project is complete, and crews are currently paving, with the hope of opening the road Sept. 16.
Crews will pave the west side of the road first, and on Tuesday, they will switch traffic onto that portion of the roadway while they pave the east side of the roadway.
