Photos: First Farmers Market of the Year
A steady crowd came through the open air market Saturday morning to check out about 16 vendors.
The Whitefish Bay Farmers Market kicked off Saturday morning at Berkeley Boulevard at Silver Spring Drive.
This is the third year the Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District has organized the open air farmers market, and most of last year's vendors have returned this year. The market also added about six new vendors this year, including Apple Holler, Total Cup (green smoothies), Sweet Judy's Cupcakes and Murph's Originals.
The market offers organic produce, meats, eggs, honey, flowers, homemade treats and more. It also features children's crafts, educational activities, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.
