Police Called Over Family Parking Issue: Report
When a Whitefish Bay man said his parents could no longer drive safely, he blocked their car in the driveway. Police were called twice.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay told a family that their issue was civil after a son blocked his parents' car in their driveway, claiming they were not safe to drive.
According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers responded to a home on the 6000 block of N. Shoreland Ave. at just before 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 on a report of a dispute between a Whitefish Bay man and his parents.
Call logs stated that the man intentionally parked his car in the driveway of his parent's house, effectively blocking the parents from pulling out of the driveway to drive to the grocery store. According to police, the man refused to move his car.

When police questioned the man, he told police that he blocked his parents' car in because he said his parents were incapable of driving safely. Police told the family that this was a civil - not a criminal - matter, and the Department of Aging was contacted over the matter.
According to police, officers were called to the home again on Nov. 9 over the sun refusing to move his car over the same issue. Police again said the issue was civil in nature, and that police would not be able to move the vehicle for them.
