Police Cite Two Adults For Door-To-Door Candy Sales

According to Whitefish Bay police, the adults were escorting a 10-year-old as they sold candy for a football team the child did not play on.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay say they've cited two adults for soliciting after they went door-to-door in Whitefish Bay with a 10-year-old, selling candy to a football team the child did not play on.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers were called to the 5000 block of N. Lake Drive just after 6:30 p.m. on March 19 on a report of suspicious solicitors who had been going door-to-door in the area.

Police say officers tracked down the solicitors, identified as two adults and a 10-year-old child. When police questioned the adults about their door-to-door sales, they learned that the adults were escorting a child through neighborhoods in Whitefish Bay selling candy for a football team he had no connection to.

According to Whitefish Bay police, one of the adults was issued multiple citations and the other was mailed a citation for soliciting in Whitefish Bay.
