Police Report: Groceries and Park Benches Stolen

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Theft

  • A cast iron park bench valued at $750 was stolen from a home in the 5700 block of North Shore Drive sometime between Oct. 20 and Nov. 7.
  • A 58-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for stealing nearly $80 in groceries from . The stolen items were returned to the store.
  • A resident in the 4900 block of North Ardmore Avenue reported $140 was stolen from a purse in her closet sometime between 9:40 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday. Police officials plan to follow-up with cleaners that were in the house.


Drunken driving

  • A 26-year-old Sheboygan woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 4700 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Thursday. She failed field sobriety tests but later refused Intoximeter testing. She was issued citations for operating while intoxicated, operating with a suspended license and operating without insurance.

  • An 18-year-old Shorewood man was taken into custody for underage drinking and possession of marijuana while he was walking in the 1200 block of East Fairmount Avenue at 5 a.m. Friday.
