Police Report: Burglary Nets Almost $10,000 in Electronics, Other Items
The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Almost $9,800 in video games, electronics and other items were stolen in a burglary in the 6100 block of North Shoreland Avenue on Wednesday.
The resident, a 39-year-old woman, told police the burglary likely happened sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Police found signs of forced entry through a rear window. There have been no arrests, but a Glendale landscaping company is listed as a suspect in the police report.
In other police news:
- A 42-year-old Whitefish Bay woman reported two laptop computers were stolen from her apartment in the 4900 block of North Shoreland Avenue sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday. Police did not find any signs of forced entry. On April 1, police recovered the two laptop computers that were pawned for money at a West Allis shop. A 17-year-old Whitefish Bay boy, a 16-year-old Whitefish Bay girl and a 39-year-old Milwaukee man are listed as suspects in the report.
- A fire hydrant in the 5100 block of North Elkhart Avenue was tampered with at 3 a.m. Tuesday, causing water to shoot into the roadway. The North Shore Fire Department shut off the hydrant and reported no permanent damage. It is not known who tampered with the hydrant.
- A house in the 600 block of East Belle Avenue was egged Thursday night. The homeowner believes the individuals responsible are friends of his daughter.
- A resident in the 900 block of East Courtland Avenue reported kids threw firecrackers at the house at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
- A homeowner in the 6000 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard agreed on Tuesday night to remove a “Recall Alberta Darling” sign in the yard, as it violated Village Ordinance 16.18(c)(10).
