One Drunk Driver Hits Tree, Another Drives Wrong Way on Street

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Whitefish Bay police made three alcohol-related driving arrests last week, and two of them were particularly dangerous.

  • A 22-year-old Shorewood woman's blood alcohol content was nearly three times the legal limit when she lost control and struck a tree on the 5100 block of Lake Drive at 11:22 p.m. Friday. Her vehicle needed to be towed away. Her blood alcohol content measured 0.23, nearly three times the legal limit. The North Shore Fire Department responded, and the woman said she did not need to go to the hospital.
  • A 48-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving after driving the wrong way down Santa Monica Boulevard at 2:16 a.m. Thursday. The driver's blood alcohol content measured 0.09, just above the legal limit, after she was pulled over in the 5500 block of N. Santa Monica Blvd., just south of Silver Spring Drive. She was cited with OWI and Operating Wrong Way on a Divided Roadway.
  • A 23-year-old Milwaukee man had a blood alcohol content of 0.04 early Tuesday morning, when he was taken into custody for violating his ignition interlock device order and operating after revocation. Police pulled him over in the 5900 block of North Lake Drive at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday after he failed to stop at a flashing red light.
