Police Report: Two Drunk Drivers Cited in Past Week

Two other sober drivers veered off the road and crashed in snowy conditions.

Whitefish Bay police made two drunken driving arrests in the past week:

  • A 24-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was stopped for speeding in the 4700 block of North Oakland Avenue early Monday morning, and when officers detected she was under the influence, they issued her first OWI citation to her. She refused to have her blood alcohol content tested at the Whitefish Bay police station. Her vehicle was displaying stolen license plates, according to the Milwaukee Police Department, so her plates were confiscated and destroyed.
  • A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for his second drunken driving offense early Wednesday morning after he struck a parked car with his Jaguar. The man was first seen speeding in the 4600 block of Estabrook Parkway, and then he stopped after hitting the car in the 4800 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:39 a.m. His blood alcohol content measured 0.09.

  • A 22-year-old Mequon man was cited for driving too fast for conditions after his sports utility vehicle struck a parkway tree in the 4600 block of North Lake Drive at 6:07 p.m. Friday.
  • A $100 camera was stolen from ο»ΏRegina's Bay Bakeryο»Ώ sometime between 4:38 p.m. Friday and 6:52 a.m. Saturday.
  • A 17-year-old Whitefish Bay boy hit a light pole at Santa Monica Boulevard and Devon Street during Tuesday morning's snowfall at 7:28 a.m.
