Police Track Down Stolen Whitefish Bay Packages: Report
The pirates themselves were not caught, but police said they managed to recover a cache of stolen goods from Whitefish Bay.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI β Police in Whitefish Bay say they caught up to a band of porch pirates. The pirates themselves were not caught, but police said they managed to recover a cache of stolen goods that were lifted from throughout the village.
According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers were called to a home on the 5000 block of N. Diversey Blvd. at just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 20 on a report of a package theft from a front porch.
Police said the homeowner learned of the theft after her RING doorbell alarm alerted her to a man stealing a package off her porch. Police said the man got into a maroon Chevy Monte Carlo and was last seen heading north.

It wasn't too much later before Shorewood Police reported finding a vehicle that matched the suspects' description near W. Capitol Drive and N. Humbolt Ave.
Police said officers pursued the vehicle, but that all three of the vehicle's occupants got out and ran from officers. Police said the suspects were unable to be located, yet a large amount of items were recovered inside the vehicle that were confirmed stolen from Whitefish Bay.
