Sample Unique Sauces with a Local Flair at Sendik's

Salsa, barbecue and other sauces made from the crops of Midwest farmers will be sampled at Sendik's on Friday afternoon.

LocalFolks Foods, a company that creates unique, wholesome natural sauces and other foods made from crops from Midwest family farms and co-ops, will be sampling its products at the Whitefish Bay Sendik's, 500 E Silver Spring Drive, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The Indiana-based LocalFolks Foods produces the largest selection of products showcasing the flavors of the Midwest year-round. Their line includes several flavors of garden salsa, barbecue sauce, marinara sauce and pizza sauce. Company founder Steve Spencer is expected to be hand as well.

Some of those of those sauces would no doubt go well with the vegetables that will be offered up at the Whitefish Bay Farmers Market, which debuts Saturday on Silver Spring Drive.
