Update: Lake Park Bistro Tops Romantic Restaurant List

Update: Congratulations to Jennifer Patrick of Whitefish Bay, who won our random drawing for a $50 gift certificate to her restaurant of choice, La Merenda in Walker's Point! 

Everyone submitted great restaurant recommendations for our Valentine's Day contest, and our tallies show the favorite restaurant was Lake Park Bistro, followed by other favorites such as Harbor House, Pasta Tree, La Merenda and Capitol Grille. Valentine's Day is less than a week away, which means it's time to start shopping for roses and planning a romantic dinner with your better half.

Here at Patch, we're curious what you think, so we're asking you to leave a comment with your favorite romantic restaurant in the area and what you like about it.

Next week, we'll throw all of the names in the proverbial hat, pick a winner and award them a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant they recommended.

Your recommendation can be anything from a local favorite to a hidden gem within easy driving distance.

In the North Shore, there are old favorites like , 1319 E Henry Clay St; , 8001 N Port Washington Rd, Fox Point; or in Shorewood.

And there are newer favorites like Devon Seafood Grill in Bayshore Town Center; , 4511 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood; and , 8649 N Port Washington Rd in Fox Point.

A short jaunt down Lake Drive will take you to Lake Park Bistro , 3133 E. Newberry Blvd. in Milwaukee, or a little further south, there are fancy dining options like Coquette Café, 316 N. Milwaukee St., and Hinterland, 222 E. Erie St.
