Snow's Return Makes for Messy Roadways

The National Weather Service expects wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph during Friday's blizzard, causing low visibility and hazardous driving conditions.

The white blanket that has been falling on us all morning is expected to get messier.

At 12:30 p.m. today, theΒ Β responded to an accident on Interstate 43 just South of Silver Spring Drive in Glendale. If you're driving through there, the fire department advises to proceed with caution as traffic is very backed up and stop-and-go.

The National Weather Service has issued a "hazardous weather outlook" for southeast and south central parts of Wisconsin.Β Snow is expected to last until about 3 p.m., with areas of blowing snow starting at around noon,Β according to the National Weather Service.Β

Gusts of wind could reach 35 to 40 mph with snow accumulations between 2 and 3 inches, the weather service said.
