Suspects Hid In Glendale Qdoba Ceiling After Robbery Attempt: Police

Glendale police said they arrested two people who hid in a business' ceiling after a robbery attempt early Tuesday morning.

GLENDALE, WI — Two people tried to rob a restaurant in Glendale Monday evening, but when they were confronted by police, they climbed up into the ceiling to hide, according to a news release from Glendale police.

Officers were called in around 10:45 p.m. for a robbery in progress at the Qdoba on Silver Spring Drive near Port Washington Road, police said. The employees were all able to escape from the building, but the two suspects were still inside and barricaded by police at both entrances, the news release said.

Once officers entered the restaurant, they found that both suspects had climbed up into the ceiling above the kitchen, police said. The two were refusing to come down, sparking a standoff and officers attempting to negotiate, police said.
