Two Catalytic Converters Stolen On Santa Monica: Whitefish Bay Police

Two catalytic converters were reported stolen on May 4 in Whitefish Bay, according to police logs. Here's a look back at noteworthy calls.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Two catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles parked off of Santa Monica Boulevard on May 4, according to logs from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

A resident in the 5200 block of Santa Monica told police they heard metal grinding and saw a red coupe speed away westbound through the alley around 5:50 a.m. that day. A Honda SUV was discovered to have had its catalytic converter missing, according to police logs.

Around noon that day another resident in the 4800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard reported that the catalytic converter was stolen from their sedan when it was parked behind their residence in a parking lot, according to logs. The converter, valued at $500, was stolen at some point between the afternoon of May 3 and the morning of May 4, the resident told police.

Here are other noteworthy logs from the Whitefish Bay Police Department from May 2-Sunday:

  • A wallet containing cash and credit cards was reported stolen from a car parked at Klode Park on May 2 around 2 p.m., logs said. A credit card from the wallet was used at the Apple store at Bayshore Mall that day, according to logs.
