Week Ahead: Beauty and the Beast, Jr.; Village Board

Cumberland and Richards alumni are invited to play at Mr. Brodies' last concert, and the 5th-through-12th grade Band-O-Rama will be held Wednesday night.

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something, you canΒ add it to the calendar.

: Whitefish Bay Middle School students will present this twist on the Disney classic at 7:30 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for student and seniors.

: Whitefish Bay trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to take action on the Jewish Community Center's , a proposal from Alan Deakin to build a dugout at in pursuit of becoming an Eagle Scout, a proposal to rename Water Tower Park as "Craig Counsell Park in honor of the retired Major League Baseball player from Whitefish Bay and a resolution declaring the village's intent to reimburse $312,000 for the storm water detention pond project from proceeds of borrowing.Β  The board will also discuss a residents' request to prohibit parking on the west side of the 4500 block of North Cramer Street. : Elementary music teacher Jonathan Brodie is finishing his last year of teaching strings in the Whitefish Bay schools and would enjoy having old friends join in playing "Les Buffons" at his last official performances with the fourth grade strings atΒ  at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.Β  The "FUTURE - PAST - PRESENT" set will begin the performance with Whitefish Bay Suzuki little ones, then alumni of all ages playing Les Buffons and then a 4th grade performance. will be held at at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Band-O-Rama: Whitefish Bay music students in grades 5 through 12 will play in the Band-O-Rama concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

School Board: The Whitefish Bay School Board members will meet Wednesday to take action on a preliminary staffing plan, the summer curriculum writing proposal presented at an April instruction committee meeting and other topics. After the regular meeting, the finance committee will meet to hear an update on the district's post retirement benefit study.

Dominican Pops Concert: Dominican High School students will perform at a pops concert at 7 p.m. Thursday night in the school auditorium. The school will also host a Fine Arts Knight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

: This is the last week to view one of the three traveling exhibits of the St. John's Bible Project on display . The display will be on view in the Open Door Gallery located in the Walnut Room of United Methodist Church from April 3 to May 14. Hours for the gallery are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
