Week Ahead: Phantom of the Opera, Election Day

Also this week: village officials may decide whether the Whitefish Bay Little League will be allowed to install stadium lighting at Craig Counsell Park.

Here's a look at some of the events in our events calendar this week. If we're missing something, you can add it to the calendar.

Plan Commission: Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss a conditional use permits for the new Hounds Around Town location, as well as for a kickboxing gym in the old Simon Oliver storefront.

Little League lights hearing: At 6:30 p.m. Monday, the Village Board and Plan Commission will hold a public hearing and possibly take action on Whitefish Bay Little League's request to install lights at Craig Counsell Park.

Village Board: At 7 p.m. Monday, the Village Board will issue bonds to fund this year's capital improvement projects. Trustees are also expected to approve the final documents needed for the Mandel Group's 90-unit apartment development to move forward.

Election Day: The primary election for village trustee is Tuesday. Read more about the five candidates' positions on important village issues, as well as coverage from Patch's trustee candidates forum. History Movie Nights: As part of its History Movie Nights series, the the Whitefish Bay Public Library will screen Robert Redford's 2011 movie The Conspirator, about the lone female charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination trial of Abraham Lincoln. The movie starts at 7 p.m.

Phantom of the Opera: Dominican High School’s award-winning Theater Department will continue its production of Phantom Of The Opera Thursday through Sunday.
