Week Ahead: The Great Pumpkin Festival, Trick or Treating

It's a pretty eventful week, as The Great Pumpkin Festival returns to the Bay starting Thursday. In addition to the pumpkin festival, check out some of the other events happening in the Bay this week. If we're missing something important to you, add it to the calendar.

The Great Pumpkin Festival: The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation will present at  from from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Stop by and carve one of the 1,000 pumpkins, listen to live local music and enjoy food from Pandl’s Whitefish Bay Inn. 

Trick or treat: If you're taking the little ones out for trick or treating, you have two chances this weekend: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Silver Spring businesses and door-to-door during the from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. If you haven't already, you can also submit your photos to . 

Hallowscream: The will host from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and includes games, costume parade and pumpkin decorating.

Library gets spooky: The  has a couple fun options for the kids this week. They can at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday or enjoy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. 

Mystery theater:  theater students will present , an Agatha Christie detective mystery, running Thursday through Sunday.
