Whitefish Bay Spring Election: How To Vote, Send Absentee Ballots
Drop boxes are no longer allowed. Here's where to vote on April 5 and how to return absentee ballots for the election in Whitefish Bay.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Voters will be showing up to the polls on April 5 in Whitefish Bay and across Wisconsin for the Spring Election. Some residents in Whitefish Bay may be finding themselves with absentee ballots to return after they asked for one, while others may be looking to vote early.
Drop boxes for ballots are no longer allowed, but residents are able to mail their ballot to their clerk or drop it off in person at the clerk's office or at their polling place on election day.

You can vote in person on weekdays until April 1 at Whitefish Bay Village Hall, 5300 Marlborough Drive, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the village said in a newsletter. Early voting will make use of voting machines and no appointment is necessary, but be sure to bring a photo ID, according to the village's notice on the upcoming election.
On April 1, early voting will be open until 5 p.m.

Here's what to know about returning a ballot:
You can drop your ballot off in person at village hall or mail it to the clerk, however, dropboxes are no longer allowed for ballots after a recent court decision. Additionally, only you can mail your own ballot or drop it off, others may not do it for you.
How to register:
If you aren't already registered to vote, you can do so at Village Hall until April 1 during business hours. After that, you will be able to register the day of the election at your polling place. You can request an absentee ballot in multiple ways, and the deadline to request one by mail is 5 p.m. on March 31, but the village recommends requesting one as soon as possible to ensure everything arrives on time.
A request for an absentee ballot can be sent over email to elections@wfbvillage.org, an application can also be mailed, or it can be requested online through myvote.wi.gov.
When submitting a request for an absentee ballot, a copy of your photo ID will likely be required if you haven't requested one in the past. The village website says when in doubt, send a copy of your ID.

Where to vote on election day:
There are four polling locations in Whitefish Bay for 12 wards. Check this map online to see the ward boundaries and find which one you live in.
- Wards 1, 2, 3 and 4 will vote at the Whitefish Bay Public Library, 5420 Marlborough Drive.
- Wards 5 and 6 will vote at Village Hall, 5300 Marlborough Drive.
- Wards 7, 9 and 11 will vote at the Lydell Community Center, 5205 Lydell Avenue.
- Wards 8, 10 and 12 will vote at Cahil Square Park, 1001 Fairmount Avenue.
What's on the ballot:
Offices up for election include the school board and village board, plus county supervisor seats and county judicial seats.
