Whitefish Bay Is Wisconsin's Best Place To Live: Niche Ranking

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — New rankings by Niche.com on the best places to live in America were released on Monday, and when it comes to Wisconsin, Whitefish Bay took the top spot.

Niche ranked over 220 cities and 18,000 towns across the country for the 2022 study. For the suburbs section, they used data from the U.S. Census, FBI and CDC, among other sources, to rank suburbs on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and local amenities. The company also includes neighbor reviews to create its rankings.

Whitefish Bay took the top spot, with Elm Grove, Fox Point, Shorewood and Brookfield trailing behind in the suburb section.

When it comes to the best place to live in the state, and not just best suburb, Elm Grove and Kohler trailed right after Whitefish Bay.

Here's where Whitefish Bay placed for the best place to live in Wisconsin in each section:

• Crime and Safety: B
• Nightlife: A-
• Diversity: B

Nationally, Niche's 2022 ranking found Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, was the best place to live.
