With Two Recent Foreclosures, Fox Bay Could Be Last Independent Theater Standing
The Times cinema in Milwaukee and Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse in Wauwatosa will remain open until the foreclosed properties are sold.

The Times cinema and Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse were recently taken over by a bank through foreclosure, and if they end up closing, the in Whitefish Bay would be the only independent theater operator left in the Milwaukee area,Β according a report in the Milwaukee Business Journal.
Fox Bay Cinema Grill ownerΒ Brian Henry said independent theaters are struggling due to an ongoing economic recession. Henry re-opened the 60-year-old theater in 2000, and revenue has dipped down 20 percent in recent years.
βAll I can tell you is weβre still open,β Henry told the Business Journal. βWeβre still here, and we hope to still be here.β
