Witness Reported Possible Whitefish Bay Break-In Attempts: Police

Police said a person out walking the family dog saw something suspicious along E. Lave View Ave.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Authorities in Whitefish Bay say a person out walking their family dog may have seen someone attempting a break-in along E. Lake View Ave.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, a resident on the 600 block of E. Lake View Ave. called police just after 9:30 a.m. on April 25 saying that they were out walking their dog earlier in the morning, and saw a white car with a blue-colored light coming from inside, driving down the street.

Police said the woman saw one of the men getting in and out of the car, and trying to open car doors and doors on houses.

According to police, the resident thinks the man may have tried to open the door just after she was inside.

Police said they're following up with residents in the neighborhood about the incident.
