Woman Uses Sister's ID During Traffic Stop, Gets Arrested: Report

The woman was ultimately arrested, but it wasn't for a warrant — it was for obstructing an officer, according to Whitefish Bay police.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay say they arrested a 31-year-old Milwaukee woman after she tried using her sister's identification card during a routine traffic stop.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, a woman came to the police station at just before 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 to report that her sister used her identity during a traffic stop earlier this year.

When police found, and then questioned the woman's sister, police call logs stated that she admitted to using her sister's identification card because she thought she had an open warrant for her arrest.
