The most popular story of the year was Patch's live broadcast of the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes' state semi-final matchup against defending Division 2 champions, the Waunakee Warriors. The Warriors advanced to the state tournament, where they were beaten by Homestead. Interestingly, Bay beat Homestead earlier in the season.
