Year in Review - #3: Students Raise Money for Make-A-Wish Girl

The year's third-most popular story is about Whitefish Bay High School students raising $6,500 to help a 12-year-old girl with a heart defect meet Taylor Swift

As 2012 winds to a close, it's time to reflect on the top stories of the year. The year's top 10 Whitefish Bay stories were chosen based on page views, as well as community impact.

The year's third-most popular story details how Whitefish Bay High School students spent an entire school year raising funds to help a 12-year-old girl with a heart defect meet Taylor Swift through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The students raised $6,500 by organizing pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials, a Mr. Whitefish Bay pageant, a car wash, an Admirals hockey night, a raffle to dress up a teacher for a day, and a dodgeball tournament, to name a few.
